Pimbo Assault Course

I would like to thank you on behalf of Breakthrough Team 9, from Groundwork Wigan and Chorley, for a very enjoyable day on Tuesday 7th November. The Team consisted of 5 young people and 2 staff members and we were apprehensive before the visit but soon settled into the day and were already tired after the warm up.

Although Team 9 had only met the day before, they were soon working as part of a team under Keith and his staff's instructions.

The feedback from the team was very positive and I feel that it has made a great start to our six week program. The team bonded really well and threw themselves into the challenges presented and worked together to accomplish the tasks that were set. Team 9 can not wait to visit again to see if they can improve upon their time and are already planning the end of program team social at Map Challenges.

The facilities were superb, and all the challenges allowed the team to work together as well as testing themselves. The patience and enthusiasm of the staff and how they worked with Team 9 to get them to complete the Assault Course was fully appreciated.

Each team member said that they thoroughly enjoyed both the mini challenges against each other and the big challenge of completing the assault course as a team whilst carrying a log. The team members gave the following feedback:

Breakthrough Team 9 Member 2: 'It was hard but I enjoyed it! It was alright and everyone stuck together'

Breakthrough Team 9 Member 3: 'I liked some parts but I didn't like other things like the warm-up because it was hard but it keep us very fit and showed my physical person. Everyone worked as part of a team'

We would recommend the visit to everyone who is looking for a challenge, both mental and physical, and a great laugh. I have no doubt in my mind that further Breakthrough Teams will return in the future
